Hi, I'm Jon. I started this blog to share my thoughts and feelings about software delivery.

 

With over 20 years of experience in the software industry, I am passionate about helping technology teams, organisations, and leaders achieve their goals. I specialise in providing authentic, situational, delivery-focused leadership.

Throughout my career, I have worked across various sectors, including start-ups, gaming, retail, broadcast media, streaming, fin-tech, insurance, and government departments (Including working to GDS standards).

I was one of the UK's first ICE-AC Expert Agile Coaches, which followed eight months of rigorous study, practical assessments, and interviews, demonstrating my proficiency in facilitation, teaching, mentoring, and professional coaching. I leverage my knowledge and skills to enable agile ways of working, orient team performance towards business outcomes, and a culture of continuous improvement.

I strongly believe in the power of collaboration and open communication. By fostering a collaborative, psychologically safe environment, I help teams to embrace change, experiment with innovative ideas, and deliver exceptional results. My approach centers around developing strong relationships, understanding unique team dynamics, and providing the guidance and support needed to navigate complex challenges.
